Introduction - Jackson Liptak

         Hi Everyone, my name is Jackson Liptak. I've been at HCC for a couple years now, I'm currently majoring in Communications. I'm super passionate about all forms of art, but I'm mainly interested in film. I like to write short stories and screenplays, as well as create visual experimental pieces. I'm really excited for this course and everything we'll be working on. I've never taken anything like this at HCC before, so I'm not sure what to expect, but I took History and Criticism of Film last semester with Professor Saphire and really enjoyed it, so I'm sure this will be just as much fun. I feel like I have a lot of anxiety about speaking up / participating in class, but I'm really trying to get past that this semester so I can engage more in discussions. 

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and starting the semester off strong.
