After watching the videos, there were a few things that stood out to me: First being in How To / Why Make Internet Art that online language is a whole new language just like the english language. Another thing that stood out to me was Steve Jobs talking about how to not live in this life as it is and be the one who creates it to a new thing, like the advancement of technology, through computers for example. I thought the concept of data bending was pretty cool, that I could change an application through changing it by opening through a different file type and making edits. Aftering watching definitions && conditional statements, the art side of glitching stood out to me, looking at all the beautiful art created through glitching is truly outstanding. In the politix in/of glitch art, the insight that we create then lives in the glitch arts world. It was interesting to hear here that we should look at these as our environment instead of tools. It was cool hearing how the Twitter algorithm works as well. I like the reasons why people should glitch and why so many people do it in the last video. It's interesting to hear about how glitch art is distributed on the internet and that it's out of your power. Overall I am really interested in starting this course and Learning more about glitching and creating art with the software. Glitch art seems really fun to make also and I can’t wait to get comfortable with the software.
