Unable to post my gif
Hi,
Can any of you guys share with me how you were able to post your gif assignment on blogger? when I attempt to post mine, it comes up as a broken/unviewable file. Please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I will greatly appreciate it!
Hi Stephanie, it sounds like you have to go back in to photoshop and mix down to a GIF file and that will upload your work hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteSorry I meant save to a GIF file and on the drive load up on images.
ReplyDeleteHi Steph, happy to help. The first step is to see if there's a problem with the GIF file OR rather a problem with the Blogger upload process. If the file works when you see it as a thumbnail image, or if you open it in a web browser, then it must have been exported out of Photoshop properly. If not, you might have to go back into your Photoshop file and follow the steps to create a frame animation timeline from you layers. If you've gotten there, just make sure that the frames are set to play with "no delay" and that the GIF looks right in the preview timeline. Next, go to FILE > EXPORT > SAVE FOR WEB (LEGACY). Once there, just make sure that the file plays "forever", choose its file name and destination, and when you save it "IMAGES ONLY" is the correct format. Then click SAVE. Your GIF should be found in your destination folder. To upload to Blogger, make a NEW POST and click the "insert image" button at the top-middle of the posting page. Select FROM COMPUTER, find your file, and SELECT it. When you publish your post, it should play properly. Keep me posted, and I'm happy to set up an extra-help Zoom if needed.
ReplyDeleteHi guys! Thank you for responding. I realized when I was exporting it from photoshop, it was being saved as "HTML and images" as opposed to "images only". Took me a while to catch on to that. (yikes!). Anyway, this was a good learning experience! LOL
