Clogging problem
So this young couple just moves into their apartment, and at first, they seem to be excited about its features like the natural light and hardwood floors, but then the excitement on their faces is shortly lived as they vaguely mention the "clogging problem". Though they try to pretend like it is not a major issue or deal-breaker for them, you can see the God-not-again expression on their faces. What I find the most humorous in this ad is the double entendre that was so well used. My very first time seeing this commercial, I expected the next scene to be some ill-mannered plumber attempting to unclog their kitchen sink when the guy awkwardly mentions "there is a bit of a clogging problem." but then Geico did the absolute unexpected when the "clogging problem" turns out to be a whole family of Cloggers (clogging is a type of folk dance much like tap dancing) living above them. Which dramatizes and brings to life the many imagined scenarios explaining the loudness of the upstairs neighbors (plenty of young adults who have ever lived on the lower floors in certain apartments are pretty familiar with this problem), I lived on the second floor in my last apartment in Boston, and it always sounded like the upstairs neighbors were moving furniture at all hours. Overall this ad is mainly targeting young adults who are renting and also looking to save, with this subtle statement "Hey, we may not be able to do anything about your loud upstairs neighbors, but we can guarantee you one less problem/headache that comes with renting by helping you reduce your cost of renters insurance with our bundle option."

For your video analysis, it will be important to go beyond the descriptions of the ad and the scenes to get a little deeper into your sentence about target. What tactics are the producers using to reach this target? What is the nature of the actors, socio-economic status, and use of humor as a driving style? Are they going into any detail about the product, or are they simply leaning on humor to catch the target's attention and draw a memorable association with the brand? Your descriptions are points out important details (answering the WHAT), now dig into the potential intentions behind them (the WHY).
