  1. Nice experiment here. I would recommend a bit more layering of the base image so that you are able to weave in your added layers. Placing the shadowed horseman slightly behind a tree; the runner emerging from up the hill; the statue set behind the clubs—such layering would add to the perspectival believability of the image. Not that this assignment needs to yield a realistic image necessarily, but it's more powerful to present fantastical or symbolic elements into an image that tricks our eye into first perceiving truth. As you get to know the new software, it's a good first step toward learning the language of layering and lassoing, now it just needs a bit more compositional organization (placement within the rectangle), color balancing (consistency of color family throughout added layers), and overall intention (what the viewer takes away).
