My Landscape - Ancient Wars

  1. This is a well organized project, Brady. It's repetitive and strangely flat in just the right ways and areas that it feels entirely intentional and compositionally balanced. This unity allows the viewer to delve right into the surreal, apocalyptic feeling that it emotes. What clinches the design for me is the subtle, yet somehow also blatant, use of a filter effect to create a digital mountain range in the distance. I'm not totally sure why, but the triangular rainbow gradation is so satisfying, like it's an overt signal to the viewer to look closely at this fictitious scape. My only criticism is to work more to situate the trees and gun-type things more seamlessly into the space by giving them perspectivally consistent shadows with the rocks on the left.
