Brady chaban Written project plans and/or outlines
For my final project I plan on making a GIF. My plan is to make a GIF of an emoji that is used in many ways and how people use the emoji and the different ways in which it's used, I will be using Frame animation sequencing (GIFs), Glitch practices, and Image and text relationships. I plan to make a GIF of the skull emoji which can be seen as an emoji that is used in two different ways and can be controversial in some uses. I will be talking about how people use the emoji and make my own personal skull emoji GIF. I plan to make it flash and use the animation sequence to make the GIF in photoshop. I will also be writing a written part that will explain more about how the GIF is controversial and the ways it's used. Also ways it is used that can be seen as incorrect. That's my Final Project plan.
As we discussed last week and via email, I wonder if this idea would be stronger if expressed through video essay rather than GIF. That way you could still incorporate animated looping video, but could add voiceover or text on screen to better explain this important cultural critique that you have in mind.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking this but I think i can do a GIF that still gets across the point the image in the ways its displayed and the animated looping will express the emoji, but the written part will fully example the image much more in depth than just the Project Statement
