Final Project Outline
For my final project I'll be making a GIF using a picture of my face morphing as it moves from the bottom left side of the image to the top right (or it will move horizontally depending on how visually satisfying the two are when compared). It will loop so there is no abrupt change in the image when it's viewed for the first, second, third, (etc.) time. I plan to use my eyes to represent the moon cycles in some way referring to the theme of transformation. I'll be using color, movement, and other visual aspects to refer to transformation and to ensure that the blending of each cycle is smooth and subtle while each cycle still makes an impact. I want to have the most eye-grabbing effect during the full moon cycle where the image really stands out, coming across as the "peak" of the loop. I may do a gradual change from black-and-white during the new moon cycle to a vibrant color theme during the full moon cycle, where it will fade back to black-and-white.
As we discussed last week, keep open to the idea of turning your layers into a Premiere animation project as well. That way you can have more control over pacing and flow of the frames, possibly loop or repeat sections as well, and you would have the ability to integrate sound elements. The nice thing about your project plan is that the whole thing could be built in Photoshop, then the layers could be easily translated into a Premiere project to test it out, while still keeping the layers as a GIF. Looking forward to seeing how this has progressed!
