Final Project
Hello everyone, for my final project I will be incorporating Frame animation sequencing, Photoshop layers and compositing techniques surrounding the different stages or transformation of the moon. I have been struggling with my concept a bit, but I know the project can go in many different directions. I would like to use the layering sequence that we used for the GIF project but with the composition techniques used in our landscape project. I also wanted to use a photograph that I took to be the base image of this project. This project seems to be really opened ended so I am still trying to figure out the organization of the layering.
As we discussed in class, using your own landscape images could be really powerful. It's a great idea to basically combine the Landscape Composite project, with all of the layering, cutting and color balancing that we tried; with the GIF assignment, which allows us to incorporate an animated, possibly even narrative experience. This way, you're not stuck with only a single image in the end, but could even think of the layers as taking the viewer through the steps that you are using to alter the image. That way, in the end, we see an entirely different world from the one before. Maybe the project even starts to feel a little like a tutorial? This could be interesting as well, to help a viewer grasp the evolution of the layers. Looking forward to seeing how it's going tomorrow, come with questions!
